2020 Chevy Equinox Fuel Economy Details

The 2020 Chevy Equinox fuel economy ratings will vary depending on the engine option you choose. Each trim level comes standard with a 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine but offers the option to upgrade to the available 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder. In addition, you can opt for a front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain. To help make the right determination, it helps to weigh out how much time you spend behind the wheel and what your typical driving conditions are. The Chevrolet Equinox performance specs are as follows:

  • 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder with FWD: EPA-estimated 26 mpg city/31 mpg highway
  • 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder with AWD: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/30 mpg highway
  • 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder with FWD: EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/29 mpg highway
  • 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder with AWD: EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway

Unlike previous model years, the new 2020 Equinox is not available with a Turbo-Diesel engine. Not only is this model more fuel-efficient, but it’s also cost-efficient. If you’re looking for a bit more from your new Chevy Equinox, upgrade to the AWD drivetrain and extra features.

2020 Chevy Equinox Engine Performance

You’ll find both Equinox engine options offer a strong Turbo performance, though there are options to upgrade to the 2.0L engine will provide a stronger performance for drivers who need a little more excitement.
